I have not blogged in a while friends. Mostly because I am a lazy pile. Self destruction mode hit hard in June and I am now just shaking off the cobwebs from self induced comas and bouts of indifference. One thing that has been a major aid in my bouncing back has been the discovery of the music duo Cults. Brian Oblivion( so jazzed about this name btw) & and Madeline Follin Started this band in 2010 and their debut album came out earlier this year. I had first heard about Cults in an article that was in a prominent fashion magazine, I think it was Dazed & confused or I-D. I am not exactly sure because as I have stated before I am a lazy pile and to have to delve into my magazine library to verify such sources would be a burden. This is besides the point, It was an issue published months ago and after reading I have wasted much time following up on a band that in its description would most certainly tickle me in all the right places. I cannot remember the exact description for Cults but if i had to I would call them Gloom & doom meets long bangs, head down and sway your head with a dumb smile on your face pop tunes. I am almost certain the music they make will get the most amorous of indie nymphs to float around a small studio apartment with utmost abandon.
